Congratulations to long-term Club Members Graham Burkin, David White and Greg Osborn of Warriors band SideFX who will be backing accomplished singer/songwriter Susan Lily performing her original numbers at the upcoming Semaphore Music Festival.
Graham, David and Greg are living up to the Weekend Warriors promise of “living your rock dream” since going through the WW Program in Round 13 in Dec 2006.
Susan and the guys are regular performers at Warriors SA events as well as being popular independent acts around town in their own right.
They can be seen on the Semaphore Foreshore at 3.00pm on 2 October.

Two of our Warriors SA bands, MOSS and Strange Brew Band are each about to release their own CDs of original music.
Could this be a Weekend Warriors first?
The bands will be jointly launching their new CDs and performing them live on stage at The Gov in Adelaide on 7 August from 1pm.
Both bands grew out of the Weekend Warriors Program and developed through the Warriors SA Club. Band members are all members of Warriors SA and both bands perform at Club events as well as at their own independent gigs.
Congratulations to all involved.
MOSS grew out of the Weekend Warriors music program and Warriors SA recreational music club. They are regular performers at Warriors SA events as well as being in demand for independent gigs.
MOSS‘s line-up of Warrior members Suzie Craig, Rob Brooking, Clive Pollard, David White and Mark Simpkin talk about their experiences of playing live music in a band as mature musicians.
We look forward to seeing MOSS at many more Warriors SA and other shows and wish them every success with their CD.

Club members who are not currently playing in a band are particularly encouraged to apply.
This is a great opportunity to re-live your Weekend Warrior experience at no cost to you.
Associate members may also apply.

The “Big Gig” final concert will be in The Venue at The Gov on Sunday April 24 at 1pm.

The Musical Swap Meet planned for Saturday 19 March has been POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE.
We have had to defer the Musical Swap Meet until later in the year; we will advise a date in the near future.
